D, from Russia, and S, from England, chose Son Marroig for their wedding in Mallorca — and asked for something specific: privacy. As their wedding celebrant, my role went beyond writing and delivering the ceremony. I served as master of ceremonies for their entire celebration, from welcoming guests at cocktail hour through to announcing dinner.
A Private Ceremony at Son Marroig
Not every couple wants their wedding photographed and shared. D and S opted for a private expression of their commitment rather than a traditional, publicly documented ceremony, and asked that their images stay unpublished. That’s a request I take seriously — the photos on this page are largely of me, not the couple, because their day was exactly as private as they wanted it to be.
For couples considering a Mallorca wedding who value discretion, this is worth knowing upfront: privacy is entirely possible, and it doesn’t come at the cost of a meaningful ceremony.
More Than a Ceremony: Serving as Master of Ceremonies
For D and S, my role expanded well past officiating the vows. Over the course of their celebration, I:
- Welcomed guests during cocktail hour, setting the tone before the formal proceedings began
- Announced dinner and presented each course, keeping the evening’s pacing clear and engaging
- Guided guests through the full event, acting as a consistent presence from ceremony through to dinner
This kind of extended master-of-ceremonies role is something I offer for couples who want one person holding the thread of the entire day, rather than switching between an officiant and a separate MC.
Officiating for International Couples Who Value Privacy
D and S brought together two different countries and a shared decision to keep their wedding private — a combination that comes up often with couples marrying in Mallorca. Every word of their ceremony was chosen with care, built entirely around their relationship rather than a fixed template, delivered in a way that held meaning for two people from different backgrounds without needing a public audience to validate it.
That same approach — building the ceremony and the day around what the couple actually wants, privacy included — shapes how I work with international couples generally, including a sunset ceremony at Son Marroig for a Belgian-German couple and a destination wedding shaped by a Guatemala-to-Mallorca story.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer master of ceremonies hosting in addition to the wedding ceremony? Yes. Beyond writing and delivering the ceremony itself, I can serve as master of ceremonies for the full celebration — welcoming guests, announcing dinner, and guiding the day’s pacing, so couples have one consistent presence from ceremony through to dinner.
Can our wedding ceremony and photos stay private? Yes. Some couples prefer their wedding to stay entirely private, with no images published. That request is fully respected — privacy doesn’t limit how personal or meaningful the ceremony itself can be.
Can you officiate for couples from two different countries? Yes. Ceremonies are officiated in English, Spanish, German, or French, and written around each couple’s actual relationship and background, which is especially relevant for couples bringing together two different nationalities or family traditions.
