Wedding Venues in Mallorca
Mallorca offers some of the Mediterranean’s most striking settings for a destination wedding — cliffside estates, historic country fincas, and five-star resort grounds, each with its own character. As a wedding celebrant who works regularly across the island’s top venues, here’s a guide to the ones I know best.
SON MARROIG
Son Marroig is a 16th-century estate on Mallorca’s northwest coast near Deià, once owned by Austrian Archduke Ludwig Salvator. Ceremonies take place at its marble Greek-style temple, perched on the cliff edge above the Mediterranean, with the Na Foradada peninsula visible behind. It accommodates up to 140 guests and suits both intimate elopements and larger celebrations.

CAP ROCAT
A former 19th-century military fortress transformed into a luxury hideaway on Mallorca’s southern coast, Cap Rocat combines dramatic stone architecture with total privacy. Its remote setting, reachable only by a private road, makes it a favorite for couples wanting an exclusive, undisturbed ceremony above the sea.
FOUR SEASONS FORMENTOR
Set on the Formentor peninsula in the island’s northeast, Four Seasons Formentor pairs five-star resort infrastructure with some of Mallorca’s most photographed coastline. It’s a natural fit for couples wanting a full-service luxury wedding weekend, with ceremony, reception, and guest accommodation all on one property.

SON BUNYOLA
A Richard Branson-owned estate in the Tramuntana mountains near Banyalbufar, Son Bunyola blends countryside seclusion with sweeping views toward the sea. Its working-estate character — olive groves, vineyards, mountain terraces — suits couples wanting a rural, unpolished luxury setting rather than a manicured resort feel.
COMASSEMA
A 13th-century estate in the Orient Valley, deep in the Sierra de Tramuntana — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape northwest of Palma. Comassema sits at roughly 500 meters elevation, which keeps summer evenings noticeably cooler than Mallorca’s coastal venues. Its traditional Mallorcan courtyard (the Clastra) and one of the island’s largest working Safareigs — a historic stone water reservoir — give it a distinctly rustic, old-Mallorca character rather than a polished resort feel. The estate accommodates ceremonies and receptions for anywhere from an intimate gathering up to several hundred guests across its garden, courtyard, and indoor spaces.

Q&A
Frequently asked questions from clients and answers to them. If you still have questions, feel free to message me on social media.
Which venue suits a small, intimate ceremony versus a larger celebration?
Son Marroig and Comassema work well for smaller, more private ceremonies given their setting and access. Four Seasons Formentor and Cap Rocat comfortably handle larger celebrations with full guest accommodation.
Do I need to book the venue separately, or is that handled for me?
Venue booking is handled directly with each property or your wedding planner. I officiate at these venues regularly and can advise on logistics, but the venue contract itself sits with you and the estate.
Can you officiate a ceremony at a venue not listed here?
Yes. These are the venues I work at most often, but I’m happy to officiate at other locations across Mallorca — get in touch with your venue details.
Which of these venues is easiest to reach for guests flying in?
Cap Rocat and Son Bunyola are both reasonably close to Palma. Four Seasons Formentor, Son Marroig, and Comassema are more remote, which adds to their privacy but means factoring in extra travel time for guests.
