Nati & Juan’s love story in Son Marroig

Sometimes, a love story is written across continents, connecting two people from very different places into one beautiful journey. That’s the story of Nati and Juan, a wonderful couple I had the honor of celebrating at Son Marroig.

Nati, from Argentina, and Juan, from Uruguay, found their way to each other not in their home countries, but in the bustling city of Los Angeles, where they met while at university. It was a beautiful twist of fate that brought them together, and their celebration in Mallorca was a testament to how far their love has traveled.

Standing with them on the cliffs of Deià, with the Mediterranean Sea stretching out before us, felt like the perfect symbol for their journey—expansive, full of beauty, and with a promise of adventure. Their love for each other was so clear, so heartfelt, and so deeply moving.

Thank you, Nati and Juan, for allowing me to be a part of your day. It was truly a joy to witness your love story, which reminds us all that home isn’t just a place, but a person you find along the way.

About Nati & Juan:

We met at university during our first year in Los Angeles (it was my second semester and Juan’s first semester). We were in the same chemistry class (we were both studying engineering), and since we were both from South America (Juan from Uruguay, me from Argentina), we sat together. On the first day, I brought a boba (a drink) and dropped it on the floor at the back of the classroom. Since the classroom was angled, the drink spilled all over the room, reaching all the rows of other students. I thought, what a bad introduction to Juan. Besides, Juan was (and is) very serious, so I already felt like we had messed up.

From then on, I had another class at the other end of the campus, and since Juan had free time, he would walk with me. Through those conversations three times a week, we got to know each other and became friends. This was in 2015.
