How to Choose Wedding Vendors in Mallorca

Booking the right professionals is what turns a destination wedding from stressful into seamless. The harder part isn’t knowing you need a celebrant, photographer, and planner — it’s knowing what actually separates a good one from a generic one, especially when you’re vetting from another country.

What to Ask a Wedding Celebrant or Officiant

  • Do they write a ceremony script from scratch, or adapt a fixed template?
  • Have they worked at your specific venue before?
  • Can they officiate in the language (s) your guest list actually needs?
  • How do they handle the legal side of getting married abroad?

What to Ask a Wedding Planner

  • Do they work regularly in Mallorca, or occasionally fly in for one-off events?
  • Can they name specific vendors they’ve used more than once, not just a general list?
  • How do they handle last-minute changes on the day itself?

What to Ask Photographers and Videographers

  • Ask to see a full gallery from one real wedding, not just a highlight reel — it shows consistency, not just their best shot
  • Confirm they know how Mallorca’s light works at your specific venue and time of day
  • Clarify turnaround time for final images, especially if you’re traveling home shortly after

What to Ask Caterers and Florists

  • Do they offer tastings or design consultations remotely, for couples planning from abroad?
  • Are they familiar with your venue’s kitchen setup and delivery logistics?
  • Can they source seasonal, local ingredients or flowers rather than importing everything?

Frequently Asked Questions

How many vendors do we realistically need for a Mallorca destination wedding? At minimum: a planner, celebrant or officiant, photographer, caterer, and florist. Additional vendors (videographer, hair and makeup, music) depend on the scale of the day.

Should we book vendors who specialize in destination weddings specifically? It helps significantly. Vendors used to international clients tend to have systems already in place for remote consultations, tastings, and communication across time zones.

How early should we start booking vendors for a Mallorca wedding? A year or more ahead for peak season (May–October), since the best vendors at popular venues book up early.
